Features

Wellness/fitness
center with panoramic pool, classes, and fitness center

The Top Deck Wellness and Fitness Center stands out at the Panorama Hotel Prague for tourists, business travelers, and families. A panoramic pool includes floor-to-ceiling windows for natural light in addition to a good size hot tub in the corner; black wicker chairs also decorate the space. Children’s swimming classes, both group and private, are available. The fitness center includes a good-size sauna, but the steam bath is a bit dated. Classes including yoga are offered, but cost extra for some guests, and there is lots of modern equipment sitting on blonde wood floors. Massage rooms are bathed in red while the solarium has white walls with a single tanning bed. Almost all spaces have exceptional views of the city.

Both the Mezzo Restaurant and Panorama Cafe have good reviews and serve international dishes. This hotel is pet-friendly; however, only dogs are allowed, incur a fee, and are only welcome in certain areas. Concierge services and a business center are located in the lobby, and there is on-site parking, but it has a daily fee. Wi-Fi is free.

Bottom Line

The 440-room Panorama Hotel Prague is a mid-range hotel located off the 5
Kvetna freeway in a residential area, isolated from the main attractions in Prague (it’s a 15-minute drive or 25-minute metro
ride to the city). Rooms are like the common
areas, bathed in blue with wood features, and are a bit on the older (and uglier) side.
Upgraded rooms though, have free access to the Top Deck Wellness and Fitness
Center
along with jetted tubs and free minibars. A panoramic pool has big windows and spectacular
views while the fitness center is modern with aerobics classes and various types of
equipment (guests need to make a reservation ahead of time for the
classes). There is free Wi-Fi throughout and the hotel is pet-friendly, but
there are fees and rules for pets.

Scene

A welcoming and comfortable
hotel with marvelous views

Even though the exterior of the hotel tower is
stark, through the revolving doors guests reach a welcoming atmosphere and
mostly updated spaces. The 24-story Panorama Hotel Prague provides exceptional
views through big windows in all common areas and the classic yet slightly dated decor is
cozy and inviting. Free newspapers are available in the lobby, which has
light gray tile, blue carpets with flowers, and gray, square seating. Colorful
artwork and many wood clocks decorate shared areas while the stone staircase is
elegant with gold handrails. Tans, creams, and blues decorate all
restaurants, as do beautiful windows and views, and some have nice light wood
flooring. The similar colors throughout do tie the hotel together, but they are verging on old and could use a bit of variety.

Rooms

A
bit older design, but upgraded rooms come with bonuses

Rooms are divided into those that have been upgraded and those that have not. The rooms that have not been upgraded include the same somewhat older
design as the common areas with blue carpet and bed runners, and wood furniture
throughout. Generic artwork hangs above the beds on white walls, but the
windows are large and provide magnificent views from most windows. Despite the
hotel’s location near a shopping center and the highway, all rooms are quiet. Upgraded
rooms have a more polished design and perks including free access to the Top Deck Wellness and
Fitness Center and business lounge. All rooms have flat-screen TVs,
minibars, and air-conditioning. Suites have large jetted tubs and all minibar
items are free. Bathrooms include slightly dated gray tile and white
countertops with lots of space. Shower/tub combos are standard as are Vive
amenities. Suites have sprawling bathrooms with walk-in showers and saunas.
